Puts me right to sleep
I need something to help me drift off to sleep and this did the trick. My 5 & 7 yr old also fell right to sleep with this. I love when the thunder kicks in as well.
Nature's perfect midnight lullaby
As I've aged I find it difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep, my mind racing with all the mechanisms of my day. I've tried lots of solutions but found sounds of nature are my keys to the doors of the slumber hotel. The only nature exceptions are crashing waves on a beach and squawking birds, which for some reason stimulate my thoughts.
The sounds of rain and echoes of distant thunder are my favorites of nature lullabies, exactly what Restful Rain provides. The images are relatively non-descript, but I use the video for the sounds, not the images. I have the Roku 3, the one where the remote has an earphone jack. I plug my most comfortable earbuds into the remote, start the video, then shut off the TV so all I'm listening to is the rain and muffled thunder. I'm asleep in less than fifteen minutes instead of tossing and turning for one to two hours. The video is only 35 minutes long but I've never heard the end of it.
Extremely Restful
To be honest, I don't think I've ever "watched" this all the way through, but I sure have slept to it many, many times! This is my go-to video when I take a nap at the end of the day. The sounds are so pleasant and soothing that it takes me no time to fall asleep. The visuals that I have seen are beautiful, as many of this series are. So glad they decided not to put music over these and just let the natural sounds come through. Love this video ...
